The holiday season is just about here, and it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is two days away. Soon many families will be carving into turkeys and having stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, and the rest of the goodies you enjoy on the fourth Thursday of November.

However, as we all know, many families are not as fortunate and need help during this week. That's why it's great when professional athletes step up in a big way every holiday season.

One of those players who stepped up to help out this week is Buffalo Bills offensive lineman, Jon Feliciano.

The seventh-year NFL guard, who is currently in his third season with the Bills, took time out on Monday in Buffalo to help people who are in need of a Thanksgiving meal.

Feliciano was at the Belle Center on Maryland Street in Buffalo yesterday from 4-7 pm, giving out 300 Thanksgiving dinners.

As for on the field, Feliciano is eligible to come off the injured reserve this week against the Saints, but head coach Sean McDermott has not yet made any announcements regarding Feliciano's status for this Thursday's game in New Orleans.

The hope is Feliciano will be back, as will be linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

The Bills are currently a half-game behind the New England Patriots for first place in the AFC East, and the currently hold the final spot in the AFC playoff picture.

Kickoff in New Orleans is at 8:20 pm on Thanksgiving.
