It was not a pretty sight, for at least the first three quarters of week 1...but the Buffalo Bills were able to right the ship by scoring an unanswered 17 points to beat the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, 17-16.

The Buffalo Bills were down to the New York Jets, 16-0 with 10 minutes to go in the third quarter. Quarterback Josh Allen and the offense had committed four turnovers; but the defense played very well, for really the entire game and they were the reason the Bills had a chance.

The Bills got a field goal from Stephen Hauschka (16-3). Then a touchdown run by Allen (16-10). The game-winning touchdown was a 38-yard touchdown pass from Allen to John Brown, which put the Bills up for good with three minutes left in the game (17-16).

The Bills defense stopped the Jets the next two drives.

It looked bleak most of the game but wow, did the Bills ever look good in that fourth quarter. You saw the usual social media posts about how terrible the team was playing and "same old Bills" commentary, but it's funny how they all changes in the blink of eye.

The Bills defense looks like it will be great this year -- they're the big reason why the Bills stayed in it until the comeback. Rookie running back Devin Singletary also looks great down the stretch. Hopefully, they can carry this into the next game, at the same stadium against the New York Giants, next Sunday.

Go Bills!!
