It looks like March came in like a lion and will also leave like a lion. Another cold snap is expected to impact Western New York later this week bringing snow back to the area.

WIVB's Mike Cejka is forecasting that Western New York could see anywhere between 4" and 10" of snow Thursday through Friday.

Along with the snow, we will see a huge temperature swing from Tuesday to Thursday. WGRZ's Patrick Hammer says we could see a 30 degree drop from our high temperature of 68 on Tuesday to 34 degrees on Thursday.

According to the National weather service in Buffalo, the average high for March in Western New York is 41 degrees with an average low of around 24 degrees.

With such a drop in temperature, will we get close to a record low? Probably not. The record for the lowest high temperature for April 1st in Buffalo is 24 degrees with a record low of 5 degrees.

So while we will see some cold windy snowy conditions, the good news is that we won't be setting any temperature records.

Now the good news is that we will see an uptick in temperature as we head into the weekend. The forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower to mid 50's.
