If you have to rent a car in New York State, get ready for another fee!

If there is something to be taxed, rest assured that New York will find a way.

According to a report from Metro Source News, New York State will be adding a 6% fee to any rented car.

A new surcharge on car rentals is expected to bring in about 26 million bucks a year.  Transportation agencies will be able to use those funds to close any budget gaps they're facing.  Before the change, there was only a five percent charge applied to New York City vehicle rentals.

This will affect anyone traveling in to the area and needing a car or if you happen to have work done on your own car and need to rent. It's just another way for New York to grab more money.  Don't you wonder where it all goes?
