Popular Local Business To Close After 80 Years

After months of trying to recover, one local business is officially looking for a buyer.

The November storm’s heavy snow affected a handful of buildings around Western New York, and one of those buildings belonged to a long-standing business in the area. 

Braymiller’s Lanes in Hamburg has been around for 80 years, and as a result of the storm, the roof collapsed and the surrounding walls caved in. 

For the last several months, Howard Braymiller has been working to rebuild Braymiller Lane’s on its original lot, but the insurance was unable to cover the deficit. Braymiller came up about one million dollars short. 

The empty lot remains bare, and it will be until it is purchased by a new owner. The location has been listed for sale. 

At one point, Governor Kathy Hochul visited the location following the collapse and, according to Braymiller via our sources at News 4, “the governor offered help to rebuild, but never heard from her office again.” 

It’s always sad to see a business close its doors, but it’s even more devastating when it’s a local landmark that has always made you feel like family. We’ll miss you, Braymiller’s.
