The Buffalo Sabres traveled to Chicago over the weekend to take on the Blackhawks, and every Sabres fan in attendance was shocked at the false information shared from the Jumbotron inside the arena.

At most hockey games, there are in-arena hosts that usually make their way around the stadium conversing with fans and playing different mini-games that result in some pretty cool prizes. Since the Blackhawks were playing in Chicago against the Buffalo Sabres, a lot of the mini-games had a Buffalo twist to their questions.

For example, during their jumbotron feature, when they looked for “Celebrity Look-Alikes,” the theme was “Celebrities Who Wield Swords or Sabres.”

You can understand the thought process behind that one.

However, if you are going to commit yourself to being “Buffalo-centric” for the hockey game, since your home team is going against the Buffalo Sabres, the least you can do is get it right.

For one of the mini-games during the Chicago-Buffalo hockey game on Saturday, October 19,  they invited a Blackhawks fan to join the in-arena hosts on camera to play Pucko (a knockoff on Plinko). Before dropping the Puck down the board with pegs, the woman was asked four questions about the city of Buffalo to determine how many pucks would be dropped.

One question was: “Buffalo is known for which nickname? A) City of Wings or B) City of Good Neighbors.”

If you think about it, both answers could work, but the woman guessed City of Wings which was deemed incorrect by the in-arena hosts.

The final question, though… didn’t even have the right answer available as an option.

"What is the tallest building in Buffalo? A) The Liberty Building or B) The Bison Tower."

Considering there is no Bison Tower, the woman guessed the Liberty Building, which is also incorrect. The tallest building in Buffalo is Seneca One Tower, standing at 529 ft tall. I would know; I rappelled down it with The Arc Erie County New York!

Hey Chicago, what do you say? Maybe you owe us an apology today?
