Popular Christmas Tree Farms In Western New York

Millions of people will be picking out their Christmas trees this weekend.  If you are one of them, consider shopping local and helping out a farm here in Western New York.

This upcoming weekend is the first full weekend in December and it's a huge one for getting real Christmas trees.  You're going to see them strapped to the top of cars the way you see deer on the first week of hunting season.  A recent survey claims that 33% of people that buy real trees get them the first weekend of December, 33%.  That means, two out of three people will be getting theirs now.

A good way to make sure that you're supporting local Christmas tree farms is to go right to the farm to get it.  It might be convenient to pick one up pre-cut at the local car wash, and yes, you'll be helping out whoever is selling them at the car wash, but you don't know where those trees are coming from.  They could be shipped in from anywhere in the country.

Some people love the experience of walking out into the fields to find the perfect one like the Griswold's in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  But if you're more of a pre-cut person, you can normally find some already pre-cut at the farms too.
