You're not supposed to just throw them in the trash, and many of the thrift shops won't take them. What do you do with all those old electronics in your house?

How much are your electronics worth?

They were so expensive when you bought them. They have to be worth something, right?

When talking about electronics, unfortunately, they're not normally worth much at all these days. Technology has progressed so quickly that by the time you're walking out of the store with it, it's probably outdated. It's crazy, I know, but that expensive printer that you bought doesn't work anymore, and it's also not worth anything at all.

So what do you do with them when they're starting to pile up in your basement? Luckily, there are electronics recycling events that will pop up from time to time that will take them off your hands and recycle them responsibly, and there's another coming up soon.

All the info on the upcoming electronics recycling event

When: Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Where: Apple Tree Business Park: 2875 Union Rd #22, Cheektowaga, NY 14227

What: It's an electronics recycling event. So if you've got old printers, monitors, televisions, or all those old cell phones sitting around your house, you can responsibly recycle them at this event.

It is free to attend, but they do ask that you register first because it can get very busy. They do have a lot of slots open at this point but they do fill up quickly.
