Now You Can Try Joe Andreessen’s New Ice Cream

The story of Joe Andreessen is so inspiring and motivating across the NFL; however, this is one that is close to home in Western New York. 

After all, Andreessen’s nickname is known as “Buffalo Joe.” 

Andreessen is a graduate of Lancaster High School, and he has been a Buffalo Bills fan his whole life. Since the very first snap, he has played the game of football in Western New York. Andreessen has earned several achievements over the years, too – including being named as a two-time all-state lineback, two-time All-Western New York lineback, and Defensive Player of the Game in the sectional championship back-to-back years, according to the official Buffalo Bills website.  

After high school, Andreessen played five seasons at Bryant University in Rhode Island before transferring to play his senior year at the University at Buffalo. 

Following college graduation, Andreessen attended the Bills 2024 rookie minicamp to try-out for the team’s consideration, and he ended up signing on as an undrafted free agent and eventually, he was named as one of the 53 men on the Buffalo Bills roster. 

It’s just an inspiring story, right? Buffalo loves this guy, and yes part of the reason why is because he’s one of us. But it’s also because Joe Andreessen single handedly proved that you can go after your dreams and get them! 

Now we have another way we can support Buffalo Joe. 

The Village Scoop Ice Cream shop in Lancaster, New York reached out to Joe Andreessen to come up with a sundae in his honor!

Since Andreessen is a graduate of Lancaster High School, it seems fitting that the ice cream shop closest to the high school has asked him to help create an ice cream sundae with the shop! 

The sundae is called “The Buffalo Joe” and you can find it listed under the Weekly Flavors at The Village Scoop Ice Cream. 

When you order the “Buffalo Joe,” it includes a piece of cake ice cream, cookie dough ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry.
