Here’s Who Brought a Gun at Shooting at Lancaster Dollar Tree
There was an unusual incident where someone had a gun by the Dollar Tree that is located on Broadway in the Lancaster / Depew area. It was a 17-year-old that is being charged with attempted murder in connection to the shooting that happened on Wednesday night.
The video that we originally had that was posted yesterday is no longer uploaded.
The shooting incident happened at the D&L plaza on Broadway in the parking lot--not inside the Dollar Tree.
It was a 20 year old woman who was shot and being treated for late yesterday afternoon. The incident that seemed to move to Main Street in Depew where there was a standoff between the suspect and police. It ended peacefully last night with nobody else getting hurt.
It was really scary for Lancaster residents who were close by during the incident. One woman said that she "always felt safe in Lancaster, but there have been so many more incidents that are happening that make people feel unsafe".
The Dollar Tree announced that by the end of 2025 many of the Dollar Tree stores in New York State would have some massive changes including some price increases. Most of the stores already have other items that are above the $1.25 price point and now the most expensive items are going to be up to 7 dollars by the end of the year. In addition, the lowest price point will be going up to $1.50 per item, which is the second increase that Dollar Tree is making to their lowest items in the past 5 years.
