Do Not Visit Wegmans On This Day Next Month in Western New York
The weather outside is significantly cooler than it was even just a week ago. It's much colder than two weeks ago, when high temperatures were into the 80's across all of New York State.
The fall season is officially here and that means that fall activities will be the story for the next several weeks.
Haunted houses, hayrides, pumpkin patches, apple picking, fall foliage adventures and much more. For some, it's the best time of year.
After October 31st, however, it's a look ahead to the holiday season.
This holiday season is fast approaching. As much as we all love the start of the holidays, the preparation aspect of Thanksgiving and Christmas is something nobody looks forward to. The decorations, the presents, the items you need to get at grocery and retail stores, all of it can be overwhelming and unpleasant.
One thing to remember is just how unbelievably packed Wegmans is the day before Thanksgiving.
We're only six weeks from Turkey Day and it's a mistake all of us have made at some point -- going to Wegmans the day before Thanksgiving.
It's packed. There's nowhere to park, it's beyond crowded and everyone is going for the same stuff: turkeys, stuffing bread, cranberries, potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie mix, etc. It's arguably the busiest day of the entire year for grocery stores and it's a day you should try your best to avoid.
Don't let the schedule get away from you: get Thanksgiving items before November 22nd. Try and get those groceries a few days prior and better yet, go early in the morning, before work. The items will be freshly stocked and far less people.
