New York State is going to get hit with a massive storm that might impact travel plans for Thanksgiving.

The National Weather Service is expecting at least 7 inches of snow according to the predicted model below. But, they say that the wind gusts are going to be incredible.

When is the snow going to start in New York State?

It looks like the bulk of the snow that will accumulate will be an issue for the weekend after Thanksgiving, but some snow will be expected on the big travel day, Wednesday. We have been getting off nicely with no harsh weather, but the streak is going to come to an end this week!

Colder air will promote some lake effect rain/snow east of both lakes Tuesday. While some nuisance rain/wet snow showers will be possible for the big travel day on Wednesday, there is the chance for more unsettled weather on Thanksgiving.
