Buffalo Baptism Makes It To Jeopardy
As the Buffalo Bills march on in the NFL playoffs, Bills Mafia mania has been taking the world by storm. It seems just about everywhere you turn, you find, hear, or see something related to the Buffalo Bills. Whether it's good or bad, the fact remains that no matter where you turn, there is always a connection to Buffalo.
That connect to the 716 has found its way to one of America's favorite game shows once again this week and, of course, it has driven the Bills Mafia crazy and also likely inspired another increase in folding table sales at stores around the nation.
Earlier this week on Jeopardy!, Buffalo-born software engineer Mehal Shah, who currently lives in the Seattle, Washington, area, was a contestant on the game show on air since 1964. During his conversation with Ken Jennings, the host of Jeopardy!, Shah got into a conversation about his love for the Buffalo Bills and how he decided to welcome his daughter into the Bills Mafia family.
It was at this point that Shah explained the intricacies of the Buffalo Baptism to Jennings and the entire world.
For those that don't know, a Buffalo Baptism, according to Shah (and just about every member of the Bills Mafia), is jumping through a table whilst screaming Go Bills!
This, of course, isn't a new thing, and it also isn't limited to newborn babies. If you follow the Bills Mafia for at least 5 minutes, then you know it happens on any given Sunday at Buffalo Bills tailgates around the nation, along with parties, weddings, national sports shows, baseball games, and more.
In any event, good job on Jeopardy! Mehal, and Go Bills!
