A Western New York business owner gave generously to graduates of his alma mater, City Honors School. Graduates were pleasantly surprised with $1,000 cash. And this was no small gift! The 2025 graduating class has 138 students, which means that the kind gesture costs at least $138,000. The students were given the monetary gift after they walked across the stage.

Adam graduated from City Honors in 1985. He told New 4 Buffalo, he was inspired by another business owner who gave away $1,000 - $500 for the recipient and $500 for them to give away. Martin said,

"It resonated with me and I thought that was pretty great and then fast forward to this year and I was very pleased and honored that City Honors asked me to give their commencement address to the high school seniors and right away I started to think, ‘Man, this is something I can do for these kids.'”

Congrats to all the graduates! I commend Adam for pouring into the students. You can check out Adam and Dave's website here.
