Buffalo Joe Fined By NFL But Bills Legend Will Pay It For Him

That play, which was not a penalty called during the game, was reviewed by the league as part of the league's Gameday Accountability process. Officials reviewed more than 2,600 plays from week 8 and issued financial penalties against 26 different players whom officials felt broke the league's rules.

The league issued Andreessen a $4,421.29 fine for Unnecessary Roughness after he used his helmet as part of a tackle.

Andreessen, whose 2024 salary, according to Sportrac, is just under $800,000, won't have to worry about paying this fine out of his own pocket. A big-time Bills legend has stepped up and said he will pay it for him.
