The exhibition baseball team has brought their unique form of Baseball to the 716, and Buffalo has responded with a lot of energy and passion.
What Is Banana Ball?
The three teams that are part of the Savannah Bananas exhibition play a form of baseball that's a little different from what you're accustomed to. According to the Savannah Bananas website, the team plays Banana Ball.

The Bananas, who are playing a total of three games this weekend against the Firefighters, were greeted at a sold-out Sahlen Field on Friday, July 5, 2024.
More than 16,000 fans piled into the downtown stadium to watch the Banana Ball live, and they got an amazing show.
One of the game's best moments came when Bananas Catcher Eric Jones, Jr. hit a home run at Sahlen Field. When Jones rounded the bases and scored his run, the Bananas team celebrated that home run in a very Buffalo way.
If you've ever heard the saying 'When in Rome, do as the Romans', then you can already understand what the Bananas did when Jones scored his home run.
