
Half-dozen Dead After Plane Crash In Upstate New York
The last few months have seen quite a bit of negative activity related to travel nationwide. From rail accents to plane crashes, we seem to have seen an increase in tragic and deadline travel incidents.
It was just a few days ago when a tourist helicopter in New York City crashed into the Hudson River, killing six people, including the US Navy Veteran pilot; now authorities and emergency responders are dealing with another plane crash in the Hudson Valley section of the Empire State.
Half-dozen Dead After Plane Crash In Upstate New York
It's being reported that a private passenger plane has crashed in the town of Copake, New York, in New York's Hudson Valley has killed all six people on board.
According to the New York Times, a Mitsubishi MU-2 twin-engine turboprop private airplane went down over the weekend, killing the entire family on board. Authorities from the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the circumstances that may have caused the crash.
WTEN-TV, News 10 Albany, has reported the family were on their way to a celebration in the Catskills when they radioed the Columbia County Airport that they were having trouble.
Has More Crashes Been Happening Lately?
This crash in the Hudson Valley is just the latest in what seems to be an epidemic of travel accidents all over the United States.
According to the Bergen Record, as of April 2, there had been 298 aviation crashes in America this year in 2025. When compared to the same period in 2024, there were 336 aviation.
