GAS PRICES ARE EXPECTED TO SKYROCKET SOON IN NEW YORK
You might not want to get too used to the cheap gas prices. We could see a big change in the price in just a couple of weeks. The problem is that the "summer blend" of gas costs more to produce, which usually leads to high prices at the pump.
HOW MUCH OF AN INCREASE COULD WE SEE FROM THE SUMMER BLEND SWITCH?
On average, it costs about 15-20 cents more to produce a gallon of the "summer blend" gas compared to the "winter blend" which means we could see a jump like that at the pumps starting in May.
