It looks like 2025 is starting off 2024 ended with some changes at local tv stations in Western New York.


Moppet has been with WGRZ for just over 2 years and joined the station after graduating from Temple University.

She didn't announce on her social media platform where she is headed next but according to an article in the Buffalo News, an email was sent to WGRZ employees she is leaving to be closer to her family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

There have been some major changes in local TV over the past several years. Two major changes were that Don Postles and Jackie Walker both retired from WIVB Channel 4 last year after spending decades working in Buffalo television.

Some other notable departures include: Heather Ly, Nick Guzzo, and Tara Lynch.

Other reporters and anchors switched stations as well over the past couple of years. Michale Wooten joined WKBW Channel 7, Scott Patterson joined WIVB Channel 4, and Dan Russell joined WGRZ Channel 2.

No word yet on who will replace Lindsey in the WGRX sports department.
