Depending on where you live in New York State, you will have a chance to see the Northern Lights tonight.

A couple of solar storms have emanated from the Sun, and they are expected to push the Southern boundary of the Northern Lights into New York State.

The Northern Lights will be visible across most of New York State, but the biggest problem is that Mother Nature is brining clouds, rain, and snow to parts of New York and that could hamper your chance to see the Northern Lights.

Experts say that if the weather is favorable, the best time to see the Northern Lights is between 10 pm and 2 am. March is also one of the better months to see the Northern Lights due to the angle of the Earth towards the sun.

WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS?

It is best to get away from as much light as possible for a better chance to see the Northern Lights. You might also get a better view by taking a picture with a camera or your phone. The colors are brighter when using a camera than with your naked eyes.
