It’s always better when the Miami Dolphins have to come to Orchard Park in December or early January. Let’s face it, they’re a warm-weather team and don’t often play or practice in winter conditions. That will change for their week 17 game against the Buffalo Bills.

According to WKBW, a mix of rain and snow is in the forecast for Sunday morning across Western New York, with that changing to all snow by early afternoon. The temperature will be in the low-to-mid-30’s.

Accumulations won’t be significant but the timing looks to fall right in line with the Bills-Dolphins 1 pm kickoff at Bills Stadium.

Miami needs a win to secure a playoff spot, although they could still get in with a loss — assuming one of the other teams they’re competing with for a spot also lose on Sunday (Indianapolis, Baltimore, Cleveland).

The Bills have the AFC East division wrapped up but they could clinch the number two seed with a victory over the Dolphins. It’s still uncertain how much if at all he Bills starters play, including quarterback Josh Allen. Chances are backup quarterback Matt Barkley will get some playing time against Miami.
