Just around 8 PM last night, National Fuel lifted their request of everyone in the area to lower their heat by 5 degrees.

There was a gas delivery issue transmission facility in Potter County, Pennsylvania that helped service our area with a pipeline problem Monday morning. National Fuel asked everyone to lower their heat 5 degrees coooler.

The company says they do not know if it was related to the cold, frigid weather. According to WGRZ, there was

plenty of gas supply available and this was strictly a transmission issue. She says this is the first time in 40 years that National Fuel has actually requested customers to conserve by turning down the heat in homes. She also says no one actually lost any natural gas service.
