New Law Bans Pesticides And Will Impact WNY Farmers
There is a new law that will be in place by 2021 that will affect the farmers around the Western New York area.
Governor Cuomo has signed legislation that will ban a certain chemical from being used to keep insects away from various plants and trees.
According to the report:
Chlorpyrifos [[ klor-pee-ruh-faas ]] has been associated with brain development problems in infants and children. The pesticide is used to get rid of insects and will now only be used to spray apple tree trunks.
