It's hard to believe but it has been 37 years since E.T. has visited this planet. The lovable extra-terrestrial from the 1982 classic from Steven Spielberg has reunited with Elliott, actor Henry Thomas, in a new commercial from Comcast Xfinity.

Today the internet unearthed this little vintage gem: director Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams working together to write the music for 'E.T.' All these guys needed was a piano, some film, and a little magic.

Ready your inner child, readers, because 'E.T. The Extra Terrestrial' is returning to theaters on October 3, just in time for that amazing and long-awaited Blu-ray release on October 9. Stock up on Reese's Pieces because we're about to phone home all over again.

We remember the title character from ‘E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial’ as being cute and cuddly. But this sinister baked homage to the alien seems to have something else on its mind.
