Appealing as the concept of Patrick Stewart playing a debauchery-prone news anchor might have sounded, it seems Starz’s Blunt Talk has officially burned out. The network has opted not to renew the Seth MacFarlane-Jonathan Ames produced comedy beyond Season 2, completing its original order.
We’ve known for quite some time that Patrick Stewart’s Professor X is returning for The Wolverine sequel, though it hasn’t been made completely official. The actor himself hinted at the possibility last year, and when we asked Hugh Jackman about it directly, he would only confirm that there were “some ideas brewing.” By now, Professor X’s involvement is pretty much guaranteed, but in case you needed additional confirmation, Stewart has provided it.
