It was announced a few weeks ago that the Taste of Buffalo would make its return this summer after being canceled in person last year because of the pandemic.

The event had plans set in place but after Tuesday's announcement from New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo that most COVID-19 restrictions are lifted after the state reached its 70 percent vaccinated benchmark, the Taste of Buffalo decided to make major changes to the event for 2021.

According to WIVB, the Taste of Buffalo will be FREE, and instead of prepaid sessions to limit capacity, it will be open to all!

They also plan to give those who have already purchased tickets, a full refund. It will still take place the weekend of July 10th and 11th and be in Niagara Square and Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo.

Food and beverage tickets will be purchased like normal and the event for the most part will look exactly like it has in years past. The only minor difference is it won't stretch quite as far down Delaware as we're used to.

This is wonderful news. Taste of Buffalo is such a great event because Buffalo is an amazing town for food and it highlights that in the heart of the city and with summertime weather.

The fact it will be back to normal is much-welcomed news and hopefully, more people get to enjoy it this July!
