Unfortunately, when the Food Network goes away and you are left with just the afterglow, some places lose their luster and close down.

Here are three places in Western New York that were once featured on a show on Food Network, but are now no longer open for people to eat at.

Riverstone Grill - Grand Island, New York

Featured on "Man vs Food", the show's original Adam Richman went to check out their Bone in the Stone, a 54-oz. bone-in Ribeye smothered in chunky blue cheese. The episode aired back in September of 2010.

Pizza Junction - North Tonawanda, New York

Pizza Junction was located in North Tonawanda and was a stop for the host, Guy Fieri, who stopped by during the episode "Pizza, Pork, and Paprikash". The episode aired in 2010 and Pizza Junction closed its doors in 2011.

The New Whistle Pig - Niagara Falls, New York

The New Whistle Pig was featured on the show "Food Paradise" and the show's star came by to sample the Hot dog wrapped in bacon and deep-fried. The episode aired back in January 2013.
