Amherst Police Warning Residents of a PTA Scam

There is a scam making the rounds in the Sweet Home School District. It's reported that three adolescent boys are going door-to-door and claiming they are collecting funds for the PTA. The latest report shows the scammers in the North French / Philip Drive area. Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity to the Amherst Police at 716-689-1311.

The Sweet Home School District is also aware of the scam and has released a statement that they also believe it to be a scam and to please not give money out to the individuals.
