The talk the past week or two in Western New York is a Paramount Pictures movie that will be filmed in Buffalo between March and May. It's drawn the excitement of locals and there's even extras currently for the film.

However, that's not the only film crew that will be in Buffalo this year.

According to WIVB, Academy award-winning Producer Jonathan Sanger will be shooting a new feature immediately after the crew for Paramount Pictures leaves town.

If you remember, Buffalo-Niagara Film Commissioner Tim Clark said a few weeks ago that four new movies would be filmed in Western New York in the coming months.

Clark says that Buffalo is becoming a very attractive area to film for big-time movie makers. The pandemic's grip loosening is starting to allow Hollywood to get back to Western New York.

“I would tell you that it is of you know safe again to shoot movies which is always the big thing and then here in western New York we don’t have the density that you would have any say in New York City or Los Angeles so it’s a really attractive place to shoot," said Clark.

Jonathan Sanger was a producer on the 2017 movie Marshall, which was filmed in Buffalo in 2016. He's also worked on movies such as Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise, The Producers with Uma Thurman and Altered Minds with Judd Hirsch.
