Beaches and Lakes Within an Hour Drive From Buffalo

We are expected to experience record-breaking heat this week in Western New York, so if you are looking for someplace to cool down, check out these beaches, lakes and water access all within an hour drive from Buffalo.

My personal favorites are Hoyt Lake and the Japanese Garden in Delaware Park.  I've lived in many other cities and I can say that Buffalo is blessed to have such amazing bodies of water accessible in the city.  I go there to walk and to just sit and enjoy nature.
