By now we know about the amazing Micro-Breweries here in Buffalo.  Flying Bison, Pressure Drop Brewing, Buffalo Brewing Company, Resurgence Brewing Company, and Community Beer Works are all well known, and all have 4.5 stars or better on Yelp.

If you live in the North Towns, sometimes you don’t feel like making the trek into the city to find that perfect pint.

With the explosion of Micro-Breweries around the country, it’s no surprise that they have started to pop up in the North Towns over the last few years.

Here are six North Towns Microbreweries that you may, or may not know about, where you can kick back, and enjoy a pint of locally brewed goodness.

New York Beer Project - 6933 S Transit Rd Lockport – Opened in 2015, this 17,500 Square foot building on South Transit Road features seven flagship brews including the aptly named “Lockport Lager” as well as rotating seasonal suds.

Live Edge Brewing Company – 2100 Coomer Rd, Burt – Located on the shores of Lake Ontario between the towns of Wilson and Olcott, this small local gem always has four local brews on tap, and is currently featuring their “Live Edge Double IPA”

Woodcock Brothers Brewery – 908 Niagara Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda/638 Lake Street Wilson – The NT location is Located in the historic Wurlitzer Building, which was an organ factory in yesteryear. This location opened in 2019 and features over a dozen local brews. Bonus, you can take home four packs of 16oz cans or 32oz growlers of any of their current beer offerings. You can also check out their original location at 638 Lake Street in Wilson.

Becker Farms Brewery – 3724 Quaker Rd. Gasport – Apple picking, Pie & Coffee tours, and locally brewed beer! We call that winning!  Their current offerings include the “Canal Town Honey Brown” and an “Oktoberfest”
