The Best Poutine Anywhere Is 3 Hours From Buffalo

If you are looking for the best poutine this side of the Peace Bridge, you need to hop in the car and take a road trip to Scranton, Pennsylvania. That's right, the best poutine you may eat is a three hour ride between Buffalo and New York City.

We took a trip to New York City and stopped about half way for the night to stay at the Hilton in Scranton.

Inside of the Hilton Scranton is a bar/tavern called P.J.'s 1910 Pub and the menu was surprisingly good! For whatever reason, we ordered poutine. I admit, I was skeptical at first. I mean I have not had poutine anywhere else besides Buffalo or in Canada. The first time I tried it was at a Toronto Blue Jays game in the Rogers Center. But the poutine at P.J.'s 1910 Pub was enormous!

The fries were fried to perfection. Not too soggy, not too crunchy. The gravy/shredded beef combo was the perfect combination mixed with melted cheese and cheese curd! I couldn't believe what I was seeing and eating! It was simply amazing and we eat every single bite.

I am big fan of portion size. This poutine was on the "appetizer" list. But truthfully, it was a meal all in itself.

The next time you are on a road trip to New York or find yourself in Northeast Pennsylvania or just want to get a taste of the best poutine in the region, stop by P.J's 1910 Pub in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is well worth it!
