Best Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Shows Played In Buffalo [LIST]
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just announced its nominees for the class of 2022. The list has a handful of first-time nominees, as well as some that have been there before. The complete list of nominees is; Beck, Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, DEVO, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Dolly Parton, Rage Against the Machine, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, A Tribe Called Quest, and Dionne Warwick.
The Rock hall, an institution in the world of music, inducted its first class way back in 1987. The museum that we know today in Cleveland, opened its doors in 1995, and if you are a music fan is a must-see attraction. Located just about three hours from Buffalo, the museum houses some of the most iconic pieces of memorabilia in the world.
According to the museum's website they currently house:
“Handwritten drafts of hit singles, performance outfits, and instruments from some of history’s greatest concerts, now take over three floors of the Museum. Ranging from rhythm & blues, jazz, and folk-rock to heavy metal and hip-hop, this exhibition represents a myriad of musical genres and highlights some of the world’s most iconic acts both past and present.”
Personally, I was in awe of some of The Beatles' equipment that was on display, as well as the Grunge exhibit they had open last time I visited. If you are a fan of rock music, and since you are listening to WBUF I assume you are, you need to make the road trip to Cleveland.
As I was looking over the list of R&R Hall of Fame members, it made me think. There are a ton of them that have performed here in Buffalo at one time or another through the years. So I went back and did some digging, and present to you, the ranking of the greatest shows ever played in Buffalo, by members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
