It's officially the holiday season but many more people are struggling financially this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many small businesses have lost business and money due to closures and severe limitations.

But Bills cornerback Josh Norman, along with the City of Buffalo is prepared to step up and help out.

According to WGRZ, Norman, along with the City of Buffalo and Mayor Byron Brown, have announced a new initiative to help small businesses in Buffalo.

Through Norman's Starz24 Foundation, he will give up to $2,500 to small businesses in the community.

But that's not all. The initiative started is called the "Buffalo Business Blitz," and businesses can apply through this link.

Josh Norman is asking for others to donate to the initiative, such as local business leaders and philanthropists, and of course, Bills Mafia.

"I’m calling on local business leaders and philanthropists to add to our donation so we can support as many businesses as possible. And to the Bills Mafia, I’ve seen what you are capable of. I want you to give what you can because, without these small businesses, Buffalo is not the same secret," Norman said.

Norman hopes this new initiative can be a huge success. He has a goal of $1 million to be raised this holiday season.

If you want to find out more, apply, or want to donate to the cause, you can visit Josh Norman's foundation website.

This is so awesome, and I know Bills Mafia will step up in a big way. Let's spread the word!
