Bills QB Josh Allen Did Something That Has Never Been Done Before In NFL History

There is no bigger superstar in Buffalo than Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Seriously, it's been amazing what he's done for the Bills as they ended their 25-year drought and won the AFC East in 2020. Going 13-3 and making it to the AFC Championship game for the first time since the Super Bowl years of the early '90s also helped.

If you remember, Josh Allen was heavily criticized coming out of the University of Wyoming. Yes, he was regarded by most as a top 10 pick because of his unbelievable arm talent, but many had questions of his accuracy and raw ability being able to translate to the NFL game.

Allen had an up-and-down rookie campaign in 2018, completing just 53 percent of his pass attempts and only having a quarterback rating of 68. Both numbers are not good.

Allen made huge improvements in 2019, as he led the Bills to a 10-6 record and a playoff appearance. Allen completed nearly 59 percent of his passes and had a rating of 85.

But then he took a HUGE step forward in 2020, completing 69 percent of his passes and a rating of 107. Leading the Bills to one of the best records in the league.

In fact, that three-year rise in both completion percentage and quarterback rating has NEVER been done before by any quarterback in NFL history.

Allen was in the league MVP conversation in 2020, and if it wasn't for Aaron Rodgers ridiculous season, Allen probably would've won the award.

The Bills are now in the top 5 for Super Bowl odds in 2021 as they hope to reach the Super Bowl, after falling one game short in 2020.

I've been watching the Bills and the NFL for 20 years and I've never seen an improvement like Josh Allen's in his first three seasons. I loved him coming out of Wyoming and thought he would develop into a really good QB, but even I didn't see THIS kind of progression.
