If you were trying to go get Blue Jays tickets to see them here in Western New York at Sahlen Field, you are going to have to wait. The first eight home game ticket sales (that is "home games", actually) that were slated to be in Buffalo as home base will be delayed a little. The tickets were supposed to go on sale today, but officials decided to wait until next week as they expect to be able to host more fans in the stadium. The next step is to work with New York and local officials to properly get as many people in there as possible.

Tickets will be on sale to Bisons season ticket holders next Tuesday and the general public on next Thursday.

According to WIVB, here is the statement from the Blue Jays:

Following New York State’s announcement last week updating protocols for large-scale outdoor event venues, the Toronto Blue Jays and Buffalo Bisons are working with local officials including the state’s Department of Health, to safely increase capacity by introducing fully vaccinated seating sections at Sahlen Field, in line with the latest guidelines.”

Fans are excited for the chance to see MLB teams come to Buffalo. Of course, it is exciting to see the Blue Jays play, right here, in our own backyard, but other major sports teams including the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the defending American League champion Tampa Bay Rays are all slated to come to play here in Western New York!
