Western New York has some of the best fairs, festivals, and carnivals in the entire country. For as much publicity as our snow and winter months get, summertime in Buffalo is tough to beat. There is always a fun event going on every week or weekend between June and September.

One of the best is the Queen of Heaven Carnival in West Seneca, which took place earlier this summer.

Last week, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and starting quarterback Josh Allen were guests on the national Barstool 'Pardon My Take' podcast.

Daboll and Allen talked about the Bills offense, but at one point, Daboll talked about a former coaching colleague Tony Sparano, who passed away in 2018.

Daboll and Sparano coached together in 2011 when they were with the Miami Dolphins and if you didn't know, Daboll is from Western New York and loves going to the Queen of Heaven Carnival in West Seneca.

Daboll said that he took Sparano to the Queen of Heaven Carnival in the summer of 2011 and by all accounts they had a great time.

"There's a carnival up here. It's kind of big -- it's a little church carnival," said Daboll. Beer tent, little things like that, high school reunion from 1970 to 2010, you know," added Daboll.

Daboll said that nobody knew that the head coach of the Miami Dolphins was at the Queen of Heaven Carnival and they had a great time in West Seneca.

Could you imagine seeing the head coach of the Miami Dolphins at the Queen of Heaven Carnival festival?

That is an awesome story. Daboll had been to the Queen of Heaven Carnival many times before and who knows, you may see him there next year.
