Buffalo Bills & Kansas City Chiefs Draw Massive Ratings
The total number of viewers for the game is staggering. It beat out other huge events that may surprise you.
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday 30 - 21. It was KC's first loss of the season, as Buffalo improved to 9-2 on the year and is now one game out of the top seed in the AFC. The game was CBS' featured national game at 4:25 pm, as they knew it would draw a large audience, and did it ever.
Outside of Christmas and Thanksgiving, when people are off and looking for games to watch as they are generally on vacation, the Bills and Chiefs game was the most watched regular season NFL game since 2007.
That's right. A whopping 31.2 million people watched the game. The stats given by Air Raid are incredible, as well. It's impressive that it even beat the college football national championship. Many people compare Mahomes vs. Allen to Brady vs. Manning, which is the game in 2007 referenced here.
These two teams are destined to meet again and will continue to draw huge audiences as the games are always entertaining and close.
The Bills are on a Bye Week. They next play in another game that will be nationally televised: Sunday Night, December 1, against the San Fransisco 49ers at Highmark Stadium.
