Buffalo Bills Least Valued Team In NFL According To Forbes
It looks like the plea by the Buffalo Bills for public funding for a new stadium is not completely out of the air as the Bills are currently ranked as the least valued team in the league.
Forbes.com recently released their ranking of the most valuable teams in the National Football League. There was no surprise at the top as once again the Dallas Cowboys were ranked as the most valuable team in the league with a value of $6.5 billion dollars.
The Bills were on the complete opposite end as they came in at 32 or dead last in the league with a value of $2.27 Billion dollars. Also according to the report saw a jump of 11% in value since 2020.
The Bills are one of 19 NFL teams that are currently negative when it comes to operating costs. The Bills currently have a -18 million operating cost, which is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization.
The Bills also make around $340 million dollars in revenue per year and have a debt/value ratio of 13%.
The Bills recently stated that they are looking to build a new stadium in Orchard Park next to the current statement and wanted 100% of the funding for the stadium to come from the public. They also wanted public funding to make improvements at Key Bank Center where the Buffalo Sabres play.
Highmark Stadium was constructed back in 1973 for $22 million dollars and saw major renovations in 1998 and 2013. The current lease with the Buffalo Bills and Erie County expires in 2023.
