Injury To Star Buffalo Bills Star A Big Concern?
Going into the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs, an important player has popped up on the Bills' injury report.
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the Division round of the NFL playoffs 27-25 this past Sunday. It was a huge win against a formidable opponent that many thought the Bills would not accomplish. They were the better team, though, and are on their way to Kansas City to play their ultimate rival: the Kansas City Chiefs, A team that has bouned the Bills out of the playoffs three out of the last four seasons. They will need everything they have to beat the defending Super Bowl Champions to go to their first Super Bowl since 1994.
The Bills came out of their win over Baltimore with a few notable injuries. Cornerback Taron Johnson with a shoulder injury, though there's a decent possibility he will play. Cornerback Christian Benford is in concussion protocol, but they are optimistic about his status. Safety Taylor Rapp is day to day with a hip injury, which is a relief as he was carted off the field last Sunday.
Unexpected Injury to Star Bills Player
An injury the team did not expect was Matt Milano. The linebacker, who is essential to the team's success on defense, has struggled with injuries for the past few years. An MCL tear, a Broken Leg, and, most recently, a bicep tear have kept him off the field for the last few years. In fact, the bicep tear had him miss most of this season. However, he has returned and has been making a big impact on the field.
That's why Milano popping up on the injury report is concerning to Bills Mafia.
Now, the good news is it doesn't appear to be serious. At the same time, it's not clear how much this could affect the linebacker.
Injury To Star Buffalo Bills Player A Big Concern?
Milano is known for his long-range ability on the field. He can chase down tacklers and be used in coverage better than most at his position. His speed is a weapon, so naturally, anything that could affect that is a concern.
Soreness, though, happens. It was very cold Sunday, and muscles did not like that. Milano is also a veteran, so bumps, bruises, and soreness can be expected. Chances are, by Sunday, he will be good to go.
Here's hoping he will be, anyway.
