A big name on the Buffalo Bills has been missing during Organized Team Activities. Will he show up for Mimi Camp?

Tomorrow (June 11) begins mandatory Mini Camp for all Buffalo Bills players. The camp is 3 days long and ends on Thursday, June 13. Then the players have roughly 6 weeks off until training camps at St. John Fisher University. Players report to camp on June 23, and practices begin on June 24.

The Bills have been holding OTAs (Organized Team Activities) over the past several weeks. These are not mandatory for players to attend, but are well-attended by the roster including stars like Josh Allen and Von Miller.

It's always interesting to see who doesn't show up for OTAs though, even if not mandatory. It can give a potential look into how a player is feeling about various things, including their contract. It can also simply be the player has personal matters to attend to, an injury they are recovering from, or just doesn't see them as useful and would rather rest their body and work on their own.

Will This Missing Player Show Up at Buffalo Bills Mini-Camp?

Cornerback Rasul Douglas has been a no-show at Bills OTAs this offseason. He is in the final year of his contract after being acquired in a trade with Green Bay last season.

Douglas instantly became a reliable starter in the Buffalo defense when he arrived, replacing Tre White. Douglas' play made White expendable as he was released this offseason. He is expected to start at cornerback this season.

Seeing it is the final year of his deal it could be a contract issue. However, according to The Athletic via USA Today, Douglas' absence is not due to a contract issue. It doesn't specify why he was absent, just that it's not over his contract.

It really could just be a preference to not attend OTAs. For example, Douglas did not go to Green Bay's OTAs, either, as reported by Sports Illustrated.

It's likely that Douglas will show up to mini-camp Tuesday, but never assume in the NFL as reports don't always match the reality. It's something Bills fans should keep an eye on.
