The NFL trade deadline was at 4 pm on Tuesday and it was without a doubt, the busiest NFL trade deadline we have ever seen across the league.

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded for star wide receiver Calvin Ridley, the Chicago Bears traded for wide receiver Chase Claypool and the Miami Dolphins made the biggest trade of the day, sending a first round pick, fourth round pick and running back Chase Edmonds to the Denver Broncos for edge rusher Bradley Chubb and a fifth round pick.

The Buffalo Bills decided to wait until the last minute but general manager Brandon Beane finally made a trade and it was for a player rumored to be going to the Bills.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Indianapolis Colts have traded running back Nyheim Hines to the Bills.

The Bills have traded running back Zack Moss and a conditional 6th, which can become a 5th, for Hines.

The Bills made it official.

Hines has spent all five seasons of his NFL career with the Colts after being drafted in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Hines is valued because he's an excellent pass catcher and is a good kick and punt returner. While Hines isn't overly big, he can carry the ball as well; as a complimentary running back when paired with another back.

Hines has two years remaining on his current contract, with $4.7 million and $5.4 million cap hits in 2023 and 2024.

The Bills should count on Hines with Devin Singletary and we likely don't get a heavy dose of James Cook until next season.
