Don’t Make This Mistake At A Buffalo Laundromat
If you are not a frequent “laundromat-goer,” you may have been accidentally breaking one of the biggest rules at your laundromat of choice.
One Lancaster woman did a load of laundry at the laundromat in D&L Plaza on Broadway in Depew, but she did not realize that you have to stay with your laundry while it’s being washed and dried.
Unfortunately, her load of laundry was stolen from the machines.
“Just a heads up y’all…my laundry was taken from the laundromat in D&L plaza,” Nicole from Lancaster wrote on Facebook.
“Apparently you need to stay with your items,” Nicole later found out.
Instead, she supported her son at his baseball game, which I think deserves a shoutout for being a supportive mom.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that someone took her laundry.
“Don’t make the same mistake I did,” Nicole said.
Another resident by the name of Sarah shared that a similar incident happened with her clothes when she left them unattended to make a quick run to Tops. While her bedding remained untouched, Sarah said multiple items from NorthFace were gone when she returned.
I know you are not supposed to leave your laundry unattended, but I think we have all been there. Life gets busy, you end up double booked, your kids have sporting events, and everyone expects dinner to be made and clothes to be folded by the time the clock strikes 7.
One thing I used to do with my friend at the laundromat is “laundry-sit.” If she had to run somewhere before our load was done, I would wait for her laundry to finish drying before leaving the laundromat, and if I couldn’t stay for mine to dry, she would stay with my clothes until they were done, and then she would take them with her clothes once all of them were finished sifting through the dryer.
