The Buffalo Sabres have struggled this season to say the least. From COVID issues, to a new coach and a bunch of losses, fans in Buffalo are anxious for some sort of good news and a string of wins. Things may be turning around and there may be a bit of a good luck charm behind it.

Houser looked a bit shaky at times but in both of the last two games has pulled through and may be the player/boost that the team and the hockey fans in Buffalo have been longing for this season.

There are only a handful of games left for the Sabres who are currently sitting in 8th place in their division and they are not going to see playoff hockey this year. But, in true Buffalo fashion, we love to get behind a great story and support the hottest players and the bandwagon may be filling up when the word gets out about an impressive new goalie in net in Western New York.

Coach Don Granato says about Houser's play and his ability to battle fatigue...

He had to battle through. We made things more challenging than we had to and he helped us weather the storm until we got in to our game. We win the shootout by him making the saves.

Next up for the Sabres is a game in Pittsburgh against the Penguins. No word yet if Houser will get the start but there is something to be excited for!
