The Buffalo Sabres haven't had the best start to the 2024-25 season and they are currently one of the worst teams in the NHL at doing this one thing.

The NHL record for most powerplay chances without scoring is 36 chances. That record was set by the New York Rangers during the 2013-14 NHL playoffs. The Rangers went 10 games without scoring on the powerplay.

Let's home Buffalo doesn't set that record this season. They are off to a slow start going 2-4-1 in their first seven games of the season. They are currently in 2nd to last place in the Atlantic Division. They are just one point ahead of the Detroit Red Wings who have only played 5 games this year.

The Sabres did get the win in Chicago over the weekend and next up will be a return to KeyBank Center. The Sabres will host the Dallas Stars tomorrow night.
