The Buffalo Sabres ended a three-game losing streak on Saturday night, beating the Seattle Kraken in a shootout, and they couldn't of done it without some magic from their Captain.

The Buffalo Sabres were down 2-0 in the 2nd period when their captain, Rasmus Dahlin, got Buffalo on the scoreboard with an amazing shot from the point on the Powerplay.

Buffalo Sabres Remain In NHL Playoff Hunt

With the shootout win, the Buffalo Sabres remain in 1st place in the Atlantic Division and are tied with Carolina for 1st place in the Eastern Conference with 98 points. The current magic number for the Sabres to secure a playoff spot is now 7 points.

The Sabres haven't made the playoffs since the 2010-11 season and have a 99.99% chance of making the playoffs this season. Up next for the Sabres is the final home game of this current stand on Tuesday as they host the New York Islanders. The Sabres have 8 games left in the regular season.
