We are 20 days away from the regular season kickoff for the Buffalo Bills.  Today we highlight Buffalo Bills #20 - Zack Moss.

Over the last couple of days, we've been counting down to kickoff for the Buffalo Bills and highlighting players that are on the team or players from the team's history as we get ready.

Today, it's Zack Moss.

Zack was a third-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah.  For a lot of people, it was a bit of a head-scratcher.  We had just drafted what we thought was going to be our running back of the future the year before in Devin Singletary (another third-round draft pick) so why did we need this guy?

Moss had the second most rushing yards while splitting carries with Singletary in his rookie year.  Unfortunately in the playoff game against the Colts, he left the game with a pretty bad ankle injury.  It is an injury that he was dealing with his entire second year.

Fun Fact:  Zack Moss is the cousin of former NFL wide receivers Santana Moss and Sinorice Moss

While many were claiming that he just wasn't that good, most people who have watched him in camp this year say that it's pretty evident that he just never really healed last year.  He was playing injured.

It'll be exciting to see what the Bills will be able to accomplish if they can improve their run game.  Already, with Josh Allen under center, they're one of the most dangerous offenses in the league.  If defenses have to plan for the run game too, it'll make them all that much more difficult to deal with.

Moss is going to have to earn his spot on the team though.  He's in a battle with Devin Singletary, Duke Johnson, and rookie draft pick Raheem Blacksheer for a roster spot.
