Deep South Taco is growing and they're not just adding another location, they're branching out into some other fields as well. It was announced that they are adding a third restaurant in addition to there downtown and Hertel locations. The third restaurant will be taking over the old Quaker Steak & Lube on Transit Rd in Lancaster. This will be their biggest location and according to The Buffalo News, it will have about 450 seats including the bar, dining room and outdoor patio. That however isn't event he biggest difference for this location, the Lancaster location will also have a brewery. Three brews including LuchaBrew, a collaborative beer with 42 North, will be brewed on site.

Deep South isn't stopping at adding a restaurant and small brewery, they're also gearing up to grow their own food. They've purchased 50 acres of farm land in Angola and hope to have it up and running and producing some key ingredients for their menu by next year. In a statement to The Buffalo News, owner Richard Hamilton said if he can grow 60 percent of the vegetables and buy the rest from local farmers it would be a "great opportunity" and they're going to give it a try it.

It looks like they have a lot on their plate but so far the other locations are doing well and this seems like an ideal situation for everyone if it all works out.

Another notable moment for Deep South Taco is their 2nd Annual Cinco De Mayo Street Festival! Deep South Taco shuts down Ellicott Street in downtown from Broadway to Mohawk for a massive party on May 5th. Food, Beer and Bands is really what it is all about and they do it well. It's hard to believe that we're less than a month from this festive day but it is coming fast.  You can get the details and tickets HERE.
