The Buffalo Bills have been re-signing a lot of players this offseason.  Most of them have been current players.  Today they brought one back for his second stint.

Brandon Beane has been busy re-signing players that he believes are core players on this team.  Josh Allen got a new contract.  Khalil Shakir got extended.  Greg Rousseau was extended.  Today, they brought one back that was here for a couple of years.  Dane Jackson is returning this year to the Buffalo Bills.

Jackson was drafted to Buffalo out of Pitt in the 7th round of the 2020 draft and played for the Bills until 2024.  Last season he played for the Carolina Panthers. He was released following the 2024-2025 season.

Some will remember a very scary moment for Dane Jackson in the 2022 season during Monday Night Football against the Titans where he sustained a neck injury.  While attempting a tackle he collided with his teammate, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.  He ended up being taken off the field in an ambulance that night but would return just a few short weeks later.

Today, he signed a one-year deal with the Bills.

While many would agree that it's not the longterm answer for the Bills at cornerback, he will provide a little depth at the position.  Right now, they have Christian Benford, Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, Deaquan Hardy, Jamarcus Ingram, and Te'Cory Couch in that room.  It would not be surprising to see the Bills use an early pick on a corner or a defensive tackle when the draft rolls around in April.
