The big weekend at Watkins Glen International Speedway is over until next year for NASCAR fans. The popular road course offers some great racing for drivers and fans and also offers a great camping experience.

When the camping and racing get the best of you and you have a few too many beers, it sure is nice to have a safe ride back to your spot. But who would ever think that the designated driver would be a NASCAR celebrity?


As far as the race on Sunday, Kyle Larson edged A-J Allmendinger and snapped a got his first win in 22 races. Joey Logano finished third and Chase Elliott came away with a fourth-place finish and wins the regular season championship.

Western New York was well represented at Watkins Glen this past weekend as the Runners Roost was featured on a car in Saturday's Xfinity Race. Jeremy Clements became friends with the owners and they made an arrangement to have the logo placed on the pink throwback car for Saturday's race. The #51 Chevrolet had a top ten finish.
